The New York Mets agreed to a trade with the Milwaukee Brewers for right-handed pitchers Freddy Peralta and Tobias Myers, the teams announced.

Right-handed pitcher Brandon Sproat and minor league infielder Jett Williams will head to Milwaukee in the swap. The move was just the latest in the series of transactions this off-season for the Mets, who previously traded for outfielder Luis Robert Jr. and signed free agents Bo Bichette and Luis Garcia, among others.

“What an incredible week,” Mets owner Steven Cohen wrote Wednesday on X. “Let’s go Mets!”

Peralta won a National League-high 17 games, with six losses and a career-best 2.70 ERA over 33 starts last season for the Brewers en route to his second All-Star selection. The right-handed pitcher went 70-42 with a 3.59 ERA over the first eight years of his MLB career. Peralta, 29, threw at least 200 strikeouts over each of his last three seasons.

The Brewers signed Peralta to a five-year, $15.5 million extension in 2020. They exercised an $8 million option for 2026 in his contract in November. He is set to hit free agency in 2027.

Myers, a sixth-round pick by the Baltimore Orioles in the 2016 MLB Draft, is set to join his seventh team. He went 1-2 with a 3.55 ERA over 22 appearances last season for the Brewers. The right-handed pitcher went 10-8 with a 3.15 ERA over the first 49 appearances of his MLB career. He went 9-6 with a 3.000 ERA over 27 appearances in 2024.

Myers, 27, is eligible for arbitration in 2028.

Sproat, a second-round pick by the Mets in the 2023 MLB Draft, went 0-2 with a 4.79 ERA over four MLB appearances last season. The 25-year-old right-handed pitcher went 15-10 with a 3.83 ERA over 50 minor league appearances.

Williams, the No. 14 overall pick by the Mets in the 2022 MLB Draft, has yet to make his big league debut. He hit .261 with 17 home runs, 52 RBIs and 34 stolen bases over 130 minor league appearances in 2025. The 22-year-old infielder/outfielder hit .256 with 31 homers, 117 RBIs and 90 stolen bases over four seasons in the minor leagues.

Williams and Sproat are now the No. 3 and No. 6 respective prospects in the Brewers’ system, according to MLB Pipeline.

Mets pitchers and catchers will report Feb. 11 for spring training. Full squad spring training workouts will start Feb. 16 in Port St. Lucie, Fla. Brewers pitchers and catchers are set to report Feb. 12, with full squad workouts scheduled for Feb. 17 in Phoenix.
